The Wafflery Food Truck

The Wafflery is run by Sharon Brown, a wife, mother, and active rural Alberta community volunteer.

I was a financial advisor for a number of years, but my true passion was cooking! I love cooking for large get-togethers, I host an annual countryside pig roast with nearly 100 family and friends, and each year I run concession for the Darwell Ag Society. In 2015, I invested in a food truck to take my passion for cooking for others to the next level. My son Mike had been boasting about his waffle skills for some time (he claims to be the “Waffle King”) so my waffle truck was started partly in fun competition with Mike.

I wanted to do something different and have experimented with a few different waffle recipes. I love being creative in my cooking! My husband Robert didn’t like waffles but with the ones I’ve started making, he says he now loves waffles – and I hope you do too!

I hope people enjoy what they eat from my truck.

Edmonton has a lot of food trucks but part of my focus will be serving up sweet and savoury waffles in Parkland/Lac Ste. Anne County (the Alberta country where I live!)
